It’s no secret that we’re big fans of barn doors (I mean, it’s right there in our name). Why do we love them so much? For starters, a beautiful sliding barn door is an elegant way to upgrade any room in your home. Plus, they’re customizable and simple to install, so it’s easy to start enjoying the perfect addition to your decor in no time.

Our latest barn door product spotlight is a combination of two of our most popular products: our Lynwood MDF Barn Door and our Vintage Hardware Kit. Both have a timeless, classic quality that still manages to feel fresh and modern.

But there’s more. Let’s get into the details of why these products are such a favorite among homeowners.

Barn Door Product Spotlight: Lynwood Barn Door

What we love most about the Lynwood barn door is how easily it takes a room from ordinary to polished and pulled together.

The Lynwood barn door provides a sophisticated focal point for any style of home decor. Its versatility comes from its understated design, featuring a diamond center with a chevron pattern that radiates out, creating a symmetrical, mandala-like effect. It’s a subtle but spectacular design detail that adds visual interest without overpowering your decor.

Like all of our barn doors, the Lynwood comes in a variety of widths, heights, and finishes, so it’s easy to select the dimensions that will fit your home.

Barn Door Product Spotlight: Vintage Hardware Kit

The Lynwood barn door can be installed with any of our hardware kits, but one of our favorite accompaniments is the Vintage Hardware Kit.

This hardware is crafted to evoke the simplicity and warmth of the past while still looking ultra cool. The two rollers are handmade from powder-coated steel and are shaped to look like the pulley on a traditional water well, making them the perfect finishing touch for a modern farmhouse aesthetic.

The hardware isn’t just gorgeous—it’s super functional, too. The rollers are built to glide smoothly and be whisper-quiet, so that opening and closing the door won’t disturb the peace of your home, whether it’s installed by your kitchen, living room, or the baby’s room.

Installing Your Barn Door

All the barn doors in the MDF series, including the Lynwood, come assembled, so all you have to do is mount them using your chosen hardware. Our barn doors are solid and sturdy, so we recommend that two people tackle installation.

Before you mount your MDF door using the selected hardware, it’s essential to drill a pilot hole to avoid any mushrooming or chipping of the surface of the door. Remember that our barn doors are for interior use only and are designed specifically as sliding doors. Complete installation instructions are available on our website.
